A-ko In-joke in 'Implse #86?'
Is that A-ko in a variant 'Wonder Woman' uniform or is it some random Amazon character with red hair in the long cancelled 'Impulse #86' ? She's among Impulse's 'Young Justice' team during a battle with Bedlam on a single panel, and she's rather stocky in appearance (in the same manner of her parents hair color are different in 'Project A-ko OAV, Parts: 2 & 4, so as to not incur copyright infringement from DC comics and vice-versa) So, what do you think? Is this A-ko or it's just Impulse grossly exaggerating?

Heck, I'll take it. She has a lot of character-specific trappings anyway. Moving this to the cameo folder for neatness.

Maybe. I never read this book, was this panel the character's only appearance? If so, it might be some kind of artist's joke. Google tells me it was published in 2002, plenty enough time to have seen the movie. She sure is meaty here.

Hey Char, how's it going? In response to your question about the red-haired amazon character only appearance, yes, it definitely is her one and only showing, I've checked other DC comics 'Impulse' issues to find out more about this character as well as Bart Allen's 'Young Justice' team all to no avail. It could be an in-joke, and the artist purposefully made her appear bigger, and changed her hairstyle a bit, so it's a remote possibility or a coincidence, this character is loosely based on A-ko It would've been exciting if Impulse (had they not cancelled the issues)accidentally blurted out to Wonder Woman and Superman that they have a daughter and she's a part of his team in the future.

Apologies for the poor visual quality of the posted image, this is a result of resizing a small image on the panel.
