"BB" B-ko fan doujinshi added

Posted by Char on June 22, 2010 at 4:11 AM Comments comments (0)

I managed to finally win a copy of this doujinshi on a Japanese auction, I'd seen it two or three years ago on Yahoo Japan but didn't win. It's a real gem, consisting mostly of pin-ups and short original comics. The focus is on B-ko, although the other girls are also well-represented. Check it out in the gallery, or DL the entire book (and save my bandwidth!) from this Rapidshare link.

A-ko vs B-ko anigif

I made a little anigif from the PC-88 game of the girls beating each other up. I planned on putting it front and center on the main page, but I decided that was a little too Geocities. You can see it if you scroll down a little, if you clicked on this blog entry you probably already saw it.

Alright, I've added four new Posters and two new pieces of Merchandise. Just check the bottom of the pages, they're right there. I just scanned, cropped and sized these, I don't really know my way around Photoshop. I have some full-sized originals if anybody wants to take a crack at cleanup. I also have some bigger posters that need to be stitched together, although I'm capable of at least that much.

(2-14-10) I decide to stop thinking about what a good idea it would be to have an A-ko site of my own, and actually take the step of getting one. I'll be uploading some content soon, but it's Mardi Gras, so don't go holding your breath, anonymous masses.

GH 5th anniversary!

Today's the fifth anniversary of when I started the site- the Valentine's Day coincidence makes it pretty easy to remember. In the almost 20 years since I first saw Project A-ko, I can honestly say not a week has gone by (every day is too lofty a claim) that I haven't thought about it or its characters. I'm still just as much a fan as ever, this is the movie that really exposed me to what anime could be. Although, I wish the copyright holders would throw us a bone in the way of a statue or mi...

Xtracurricular movie review

Posted by Char on Comments comments (0)

For GH's second anniversary, I've written a review of Xtracurricular, the live action A-ko remake. It's kind of a crummy movie, but I just saved you the trouble of watching it. Check it out!
